Hmmm...A Year Ago Today.

Hmmm....what was I doing a year ago today? I'm a bit of a geek, but I love thinking about things like this. Where was I a year ago? How have things changed since then?

A year ago today, I was working my first summer at the law firm. I started working at the firm just days after visiting my sister in Ireland! Ireland...the first international spot that I had ever visited! I know...it took me until college to go abroad. At least I could see my sister abroad...and after 3 months of her having a grand old time in her study abroad program, I had really missed her. Otherwise, I was getting ready to start my sophomore year of college...which was quite exciting! I was glad to start taking some courses that actually pertained to my major, but I was especially pumped to see my Ambler friends again! We all live so far apart that we really didn't get to see one another during the summer. I was in withdrawal! Seeing them was a great thing to look forward to. Hmmmm...not too bad for a year ago.

So, since I've contemplated a year ago, I should probably comment on today and the present. I would have to say that my present is probably as exciting as a year ago. I am one year older and looking forward to starting my junior year of college! I am finally an upperclassmen (which only has the perk of bragging rights, I suppose). I'll also be starting two internships (yes, two internships....I know, I'm crazy) in a mere two weeks. I'll be working for CHOP (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia) and The Philadelphia Magazine. I am so excited!! I can't wait to do some fact checking at the magazine, as well as some political writing at CHOP. I think it'll be cool to learn how to write to a different audience than my usual, being college students. Wish me luck!!
